Sharnbrook Football Club was founded as long ago as 1891 with the objective of playing adult Saturday afternoon football against other clubs in the North Bedfordshire area. The original ground was where Wellpond Close and Manor Way now stands.
In the 1970’s a Sunday league team was formed and was known as Sharnbrook Casuals.
The club has fielded successful senior and junior teams since its inception and has achieved formal Football Charter Standard status. The Club colours are Red and Blue and have been for a long time.
Sharnbrook operate teams in local leagues at most junior age levels as well as holding Kickers academy for local U6/U7 children. The adult men’s team play on Saturday afternoons in the top tier of the Bedfordshire County Football League and the ladies team who play to a high standard in the Beds and Herts league.
As a major driving force for football excellence in North Bedfordshire, our aim is to continue to make organised football available to both senior and junior age groups and sexes, and to maintain our status as a Football Association Chartered Club.
Over the last few years the Club has expanded considerably made possible by fundraising events and sponsorship, thank you to all those who have contributed and supported us.
As our numbers continue to grow, particularly junior members, so does the workload largely carried out by a few hardworking individuals who give their time and expertise voluntarily. In order for the football club to become ever more successful we need support across the board from managers and coaches to anyone who believes they are able to contribute in any way.
