Sharnbrook Ladies’ Group has a long established history in the village. The group first started in 1958 as a Young Wives’ group meeting monthly either in the vicarage or in rooms in the school. The meetings were informal. Sometimes speakers came or goods were made for local events. With few wives working at this time, these get-togethers in the evening were a pleasant break from domestic life. As time went on, more speakers came to discuss a wide variety of topics from child psychology to hat making. Visits were arranged to theatres or walks.

Today we are continuing to thrive, meeting as a group of ladies of all ages from the village, in homes or using the facilities of the village club house. With people working more and being mobile we feel there is still a need for all ladies to come and make new friends in new places and to feel part of a community. We hope you will find a warm and friendly welcome at our meetings.

We meet on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7.45pm.
Please check the village notice board opposite the Post Office for the venue.
